People ask me the same question, "How can I imp[rove my sales?"

The first thing a new business should do is create a business plan. This covers areas like organization, company officers, capital, etc. This can also be found at the Small Business Administration web. You can also hire someone like me. Either way you will still needs to address a lot of questions. Questions like that make your Dreams, into a nightmares.

I have listed a few items you should also consider before writing that buisiness plan:

Product or Service: Some of the most successful businesses started out with unique idea or service. We usually refer to this as a niche. Once you have your Product you need to build your brand. The brand represents your product, service, and the company as a whole! With one of my businesses, Harleysvilleonline.com, represents the brand and the image I am trying to convey.

Vision Statement: If you don't know where you're going, you'll never have any idea how to get there. Create a vision statement for you new business that you can refer back to whenever you feel you're off track. “ A website for the community by the community”

Ideal Client: Who will use your product. You should have their age, sex, income levels, spending habits use to name a few.

Competition: You need to know who's already selling to your ideal clients and how they're doing it. How can you do it better and cheaper. Normally this is where I would mention Market Share. We will cover that a later time

Goals: Each company is unigue on when the should set their goals. I usually advise a new business owner to set their Goal dates frequent, and the goals should be equally easy to accomplish.

Marketing Strategy: How you will  get your company noticed, Print advertisement, local newspapers, Radio, TV, Internet. Companies like MerchantCircle have addressed most of these issues for you.
